Have you ever had to grapple with the truth?
I think it's pretty common to experience doubt when situations challenge one's truth.
This past month I've had to purge some truths. This week I had to release someone who I care about and love. Our values, our lifestyles are no longer aligned, and right now we have different definitions of engaging trust and intimacy.
This is not the first time I have had to accept loss.
Our conversation showed me the innocence of love.
Through my tears I was shown that I value myself and who I am evolving into. That I am able to love this human being in front of me while recognizing that I have the strength to love them from a distance. Through the tears, I recognized expired aspects of my personality desired to transform and that new aspects of myself desired to come online.
Embodying your values can take a lifetime to unpack; your family relationships, romantic partnerships, or business collaborations are all grounds to witness where you may loop. Sometimes we encounter people who mirror the tension that reveals specific truths and not all of it has to be burnt to the ground. Our lense is not the sole truth. Sometimes the world is not out there trying to harm us. Specific encounters surface to highlight the pain that's been lingering beneath our hearts; so that we can grieve, release and rebuild the love inside ourselves.
Even in the midst of sadness. You don't have to do it alone!
